                Friday & it's the last day to "cook" with the kids.

SHhhhhhhhhh..... I'm hiding in the basement

I have to whisper.... I am hiding in the basement. There is a herd of wild horses, one baby spinning in a johnny jump-up with a bewildered look on his sweet little face and a mighty superhero, I think today he's superman...;D

I am actually in the basement hiding... well, throwing a load of clothes in the wash and giving my ears a break! Everyone has cabin fever and they are jumping and playing so I turned up Raffi really loud and escaped downstairs. I'll go back up when I hear some screaming...  kidding!

We had bad and good news this morning, D.J. is sick and staying home but, Emma is coming today!
This has been a very long & cold week and I'm glad it's almost over! Everyone snuggle up, watch the super bowl and stay warm and well this weekend! (P.S. don't forget to feed the fish people)

We had fun playing and being silly and we had a great lunch today of chicken nuggets, waffle fries, lots of ketchup, pineapple, mixed veggies and milk and cookies!

                          COOKIE DAY!
Today we are going to make chocolate cookies with two toppings
peppermint sprinkles and chocolate chips. We put in egg and butter
and then everyone gets to stir...

Tuesday 1.28.2014

Great day today, all the munchkins are in good moods, it is still really cold out but the sun is shinning & the music is turned up!

We made homemade pizza today. Each child got 1/2 an English muffin and they spooned tomato sauce with some herbs mixed in onto their pizza, sprinkled mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top. Garret and I had sliced mushrooms on ours... Then we baked them
and while we waited the kids made salads by putting washed and cut up lettuce on the plates and they had a choice of ranch or thousand island dressing. We also had strawberries & milk with our salad & yummy home made pizza's

Monday 1.27.2014

Way to cold out to do anything today but take a nap...

Kids had peanut butter & nutella sandwiches, apple slices, Cheetos, cauliflower (kids called it white trees...:) and milk.

Sebastian was sick last Tue. hopefully on Wed. we will see him &
Miles was sick last Wed. hopefully we can see him this Wed. and
also our little Emma has been sick and we are missing all of them!

Ok, I guess I will probably be a day behind...
We had a great day and a wonderful time making our African bowls with our homemade paste (flour & water) They cut the paper,  played with the paste and made the bowls for over an hour!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would like to have a few moments of silence for the

lowly but most wonderful "Dum Dum" sucker. This little

glob of colored sugar can make a child happily clean up,

small ears seem to amazingly work, bickering is silenced...

thank you "Dum Dum!"
